We had lots of lovely adventures at Neurum Creek last week. The kids were excited to have the fire in the evenings and spent time searching old fire sites for wood that wasn't used. Deb made up a damper mix, which we moulded onto sticks and cooked in the fire.
There was plenty for the kids to occupy themselves. They loved the bike track and spent a lot of time there having fun and getting filthy. The creek was the perfect place to go and wash off and have a swim after the ride.
There was a good mix of different types of water areas to play in. Shallow rocky areas for wading, fast running water that took you for a ride and deeper areas to play with boogie boards and the inflatable boat.

Even though we had overcast, showery weather we had a great time. In fact it was probably a whole lot cooler, which always makes a difference sleeping. We got to have lots of mini Mcgyver moments, where we were rigging up different tarps with bulldog clips and zippy ties to help with the rain. Sloshing through the puddles to find rocks to make a dam wall to stop the river right through our campsite. What fun!!!!!
Definitely going back!
