Trying something new

Not very successfully I might add!

I finally bit the bullet this afternoon and bought a crochet hook. For weeks I have been asking everyone if they can crochet flowers and had no luck. At Deb's today she had a mag with the most adorable crocheted flowers......swoooon!

How hard could it be? So you tube to the rescue. Thanks Edna.

I kind of got the chain stitch, got better (sort of) with practise, think I can manage the slipstitch, but the double crochet, oh my goodness!

I want those flowers, so I am determined to learn. could take me a while for them to look good. Found a gorgeous tutorial here those beauties will soon be mine! (I hope)
