This is what my hair looked like after it had been cut off. It doesn't look like much but gee it makes a difference to how heavy your head is!
Had a fabulous dinner with the girls it was great to catch up and be able to chat without having to run after children. Poor Ant and the kids had to endure us cackling for a large portion of the evening. I did not get one photo with my camera so thanks Suzanne for these ones.
It is an interesting feeling being without your hair. The clothes and jewelrey that you usually wear doesn't feel quite right. People find it hard to look at you and treat you differently, in a pitying kind of way. We went out to Hogs Breath last night and I decided to go for no embellishment or covering and hold my head up proudly.
To be a cancer sufferer with all of the stress that goes along with it, alongside people treating you differently, must really diminish your self concept. So next time you are faced with someone in this predicament smile widely and say hello.
Very strange feeling, feeling your scalp burning hanging out the washing. will have to make certain that my head and neck are covered properly this summer. Maybe hats for Christmas would be a good idea!
Going to get into some sewing today hopefully and master the yo yo maker.
