Play Date

We had a lovely time at the park with all the girls and their kids on Tuesday. We were surprised to not have to share the park with too many other people.

The morning involved Secret Santa gifts for the children, all handmade. Caty received a beautiful notebook and pencil roll and Tyler has a new sketch book, with pirate pencil case + felt pens. They both love their gifts and have been using them quite a lot since.

Then it was time for us to all exchange gifts, how often at Christmas do the adults get more than the kids? Loved it. I received fabric basket with delicious treats, a gorgeous banner, delicious truffles, a new lunch bag and beautiful hand made cards. The girls liked the menu/shopping organiser that I made for them. Phew, stress over! Loved the handcrafted gifts, but next year everyone will be a little more organised and not leaving it to the last minute.

Huge black clouds came rolling over the sky and while everyone else packed up and went home, we stayed and some of the kids had a fantastic time running and playing in the rain. Oh the joys of childhood!
