Our house is surrounded by tall gum trees and at the back we have a massive spring-fed dam. The wrap around verandahs have a different outlook at different points. It is the most amazing place to sit and while away the day.
I really wanted some comfy chairs to sit on to have a coffee, read my book or just sit and chill. When I was op shopping, I kept an eye out for something suitable, in my price range (read-"cheap"). There were some finds, but at over $100 were too expensive.
Then one day, the perfect chairs were sitting just outside the Salvos. Be still my beating heart! I thought for sure they were already sold, or too expensive, but I sauntered inside ( trying to be cool) and enquired after them. Not Sold and $50 for both, yes! Those babies were coming home with me!
They are very solid, but were dirty. After a big scrub and a trip to Spotlight for some material to make new cushion covers, they were ready.
Heaven!
They have been very well used. Each season they get moved to a different part of the verandah, to take advantage of the sun or shade. Love a good bargain.
What a great view! And the chairs were a bargain!
