On leave......

I have taken 2 weeks long service leave before the holidays, which was just as well as I lost my voice my last week and my two ratbags have both been sick this week.

I wanted to try a few different things that I wanted to make just for me. My bags I love, but they get adopted to new owners, so I complied a list. (Debbie is rubbing off on me)

# Make summer beach blanket.

# Try to make some of the cute necklaces I've been seeing on the net.

# Make some Christmas bunting using my gorgeous fabric.

# Use the pamper package I received as a birthday gift from my darlings.

# Take my Mum to lunch at our favourite restaurant in Maleny.

# Make a trip to Wynumn to check out all of the op shops there ( and visit my sister-in-law)

Well some of those things won't happen now, because I've had the kiddlywinks home from school and have been going to doctors and chemists etc. But I have done some.

My version of the bead necklace, using the ribbon with the wire in it. Love my cute ribbon flower.
Inspired by Lollychops, though not as gorgeous as hers because she has heaps of lovely fabric flowers to choose from and I was too cheap to go and buy some Prima ones. ( Though I will one day)
My beach blanket made from a vintage Sheridan sheet, vintage chenille bedspreads and scraps of fabric left over from other projects. The orange in the sheet matches the caravan too, so all the better!

On the back of the blanket I made a handy little pocket to put the keys when we are swimming. Sneaky hey?

Unfortunately I have become obsessed with Suduko and I have been pouring over numbers in many of these puzzles. I usually sit outside and justify it by saying I'm getting my vitamin D intake!!

So I'll see how I go with the rest of the things on my list........
