Just mooching around the house today, but this is what I have been doing. The beater above cost $3.50 at Vinnies, which was my favourite purchase from yesterdays shopping trip. (Been wanting one for ages, but not willing to spend $15 )
While we were out, I had the slow cooker bubbling away with a Massuman Curry recipes found at Best Recipes. The house smelt so good when we got home, it was delicious. Even better today for lunch and with these yummy pappadams handmade by our lovely Indian neighbours.
I finally finished making my banner for our market stall, complete with grommets for hanging, looks very professional.
I wanted to machine stitch all the way around the letters but it was a bit tricky, so a lot of hand stitching was done as well. I made this flower ages ago, it looks good just to break up the letters.
I think it looks cute, though it needs a darn good ironing. Will keep the elements out a little and make it easy for people to find us.I have also been speaking to a shop owner in NSW who wants to stock my bags, so that is pretty exciting too. Might help pay for my fabric addiction!!
the banner looks gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteWell done Toni! I think it is great that someone wants to stock your bags. You rock!
ReplyDeleteThe finished banner looks awesome!! Congrats on the store! What shop is it???
ReplyDeleteYou have done a great job....I know how difficult it is to manage all that fabric in the machine so I also hand stitched my latest project(will put up on my bolg when I am finished). CONGRATS on the bags.....what a fantastic effort...you go girl!
