Week end away

This past week end, Mum and I went off to Esk for a retreat. Mum had 5 projects on the go, which included crocheting and knitting and I decided to finally get some scrapping done. (Sewing has taken over my crafty life lately). The sewing machine stayed home so I wouldn't weaken.

We stayed at Twilight2Twilight and were spoiled as usual. Beautiful surroundings, food galore and fabulous company made for a great week end. After scandalising the locals at the pub Friday night, we head off to the retreat. Surprisingly enough, I actually got heaps done Friday night. Paula's mum, Pauline, had her Christmas album for this year.............yes this year, to share and it inspired me to give one a go.

I had the album made before I went to bed just ready for the photos and journalling.

Saturday morning we went into town and discovered one of the local buildings had been burnt down, I had an alibi, so there was great excitement in town. We went to the market, where I bought the best pair of slippers you have ever seen, you will all want some! The next couple of hours we spent wandering through town checking out all the local shops. Wayne's World and Passion 4 Fashion did well out of all of us. Before we knew it it was half past twelve and lunch time.

Wine o'clock came up very quickly and we all enjoyed a nice tipple, it also helped warm us up, as it was quite chilly in the evenings. Thank goodness for the fire place. I finished Caty's album, so it was onto Ty's. The paper wasn't quite right for the photos so I gave up and did this really simple page from our last visit to Bribie.
We had a fabulous time, Mum got quite inspired by Pauline and was talking about all of the things she wanted to try. It was lovely to spend time with Mum and some lovely friends, new and old. Thanks Tamara for letting us use your home and all the hard work you and your Mum do to make us relax.
