We went off to Neurum Creek again recently for a bit of rest and recovery from the silly season. We set up in our usual spot and started to unwind. My brother and his family were on the next site, so it was a great chance to catch up.
Tyler was thrilled to receive this fun set of glasses on a magazine bought for him, he immediately went down to the bike track with them on. Of course everyone had to have a turn at wearing them, which was heaps of fun. Think I'll make a photo montage of them to frame up, which will be super cute.
Unfortunately for my sister-in-law, this big sucker decided to cut across our camp sites to get to the creek. She nearly stood on it, so with much excitement by all, we helped it on its way to wherever he wanted to go. ( I did keep my ears and eyes open for the rest of our stay just in case he might want to visit again.)
I spent the week reading trashy mags, reading books, swinging in my hammock and watching the kiddlywinks swimming in the various waterholes in the area.
I missed my beautiful camping buddy Deb though, as she had to go in for some emergency surgery, she's a lot better now, thank goodness.
So I spent 10 days relaxing and spending time with the family. I even spent 4 nights by myself and the kids and never once felt frightened.

Glad I wasn't there with that snake! I did miss not coming though, I am starting to think me and camping in January are jinxed!
