We spent a few hours down at Sandgate the other afternoon. I haven't been there in years and had forgotten how gorgeous the town is. Absolutely beautiful houses, most original Queenslanders that have been renovated. I just love checking them out and dreaming of the day when I might be able to live in one. (better start saving or buying lottery tickets)
The rat bags combed the beachside for shells for their collections and used the surrounding drift wood to make imaginary worlds. This part of the world has been affected by the floods in January, with a lot of nasties washed into the bay. It is slowly mending itself and I'm looking forward to going back again soon.
